Channing Tatum Takes Over Instagram in Halloween Onesies Pajamas

Celebrities are just like the rest of us — they put on their onesies one leg at a time. Of course, most plebeians would be satisfied with a few dozen “Likes” on their latest Instagram post, but not A-listers like Channing Tatum.

On Sunday, the “21 Jump Street” star posted an Instagram photo of himself posing in the unintentionally creepy Halloween costume he wore to his daughter’s Halloween carnival. The handsome actor has a two-year-old daughter with his wife, actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum. The star rocked an old Winnie the Pooh onesie, stuffed with pillows to get the full Pooh bear effect.

After just three days online, the Instagram post had already racked up more than 346,700 likes on the social networking site. He posted the cheeky photo with the caption, “Pretty sure I terrified all the children at our daughter’s Halloween carnival today. Btw- I’m pooh bear in case anyone can’t tell.”

And Tatum isn’t the only mega-star rocking onesies for Halloween. Over the past few years, onesies of all kinds have taken over the fashion world. Rompers have become so popular that popular lady blogs are publishing guides for using the bathroom while wearing rompers. At the same time, chic jumpsuits and overalls have made a major comeback, while cute onesies pajamas have earned their place in the pop culture zeitgeist.

“Adult onesies and footed pajamas for adults saw some popularity in the early 2000’s,” says Tammy Fitzpatrick, Vice President, Big Feet Pajama Co. “The craze came after 2007 when our brand as well as other brands’ footed pajamas were seen on TV shows like Saturday Night Live and participated at the Academy Awards, Country Music Awards and other celebrity gifting events. We love seeing celebrities in our footie pajamas and they seem to love being seen in them.”

In honor of Halloween, several members of the Kardashian Klan have been posting their own social media pictures of ghoul-inspired pajamas onesies for adults.

First, Kourtney Kardashian posted a picture of herself wearing matching skeleton-print onesie pajamas with her young children, Mason and Penelope. The adorable picture was captioned “Skeleton Cuddles,” and earned 633,500 likes in 48 hours. The same day, Kylie Jenner posted a picture of her and a friend frolicking while rocking black Halloween onesie pajamas. So far, 1.3 million people have liked the photo.

Pajamas onesies make for versatile Halloween costumes, and you can probably expect a few more celebrities to show off their PJs before October 31.
